CBE Students Build Dog Houses for Charity to Honour Classmate

CALGARY — In honour of a classmate struck by a car on his way to school, students from H.D. Cartwright School have designed and built dog houses that will be auctioned off to benefit the Alberta Children’s Hospital.
“It has been remarkable to watch our school community take a sad event such as their classmate’s accident and come together as a community in the spirit of giving back,” said Matt Fell, principal of H.D. Cartwright School.
Students chose to donate the proceeds from their auction to the Children’s Hospital after seeing the incredible work they have done to support their classmate’s recovery, and to help other children who need similar support in the future.
Media are invited to film and photograph students finishing their projects. Students and teachers will be available for interview.
