CBE recognizes CMHA Mental Health Week 2022

Apr. 29, 2022

The Calgary Board of Education recognizes the importance of advancing mental health and well-being in connection with the Canadian Mental Health Association’s 71st Mental Health Week, which runs from May 2 to 8, 2022.

This year, the CMHA is encouraging Canadians to practise empathy and the organization is promoting the need to make people feel seen and heard.

Protecting mental health and well-being has always been a priority for the organization.  This year, for the third year, Mental Health Week takes place during a time when CBE employees are dealing with uncertainties related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The timing offers an opportunity for everyone to reflect on the many ways we can promote mental health in schools and across the system.

Today, the CBE encourages students, educators, and staff to check out the resources available.
