Forest Lawn High School Students Break the Ice with Sheldon Kennedy

CALGARY — Forest Lawn High School students are hitting the rink and breaking the ice on mental health conversations with the help of former NHL player, Sheldon Kennedy.

Kennedy will speak to students about the importance of self-care, particularly exercise, in promoting positive mental health. Following the presentation, students and FLHS staff will strap on their skates and hit the ice at Ernie Starr Arena.

Students have worked with the Sheldon Kennedy Child Advocacy Centre’s Youth Champion Initiative and are raising funds to benefit the organization.
Media are invited to attend the hockey game. Students, staff and Sheldon Kennedy will be available to speak prior to the start of the game.
