Jack James Students Build Career Opportunities Alongside New Home

Every fall since 1998, students from Jack James High School go on a field trip to see the house begun in the school’s construction shop.

This year, the dozen or so students made the trek to Cochrane to help Homes by Avi founder and chairman Avi Amir cut the ribbon on this year’s project: the Tristan, a 1,424-square-foot, two-storey home now on the market in Sunset Ridge.

The students in Grades 11 and 12 built the main floor in partnership with Homes by Avi through the school’s Knowledge and Employability Program. Continue reading on the Calgary Herald website.
