Canada Post Service Disruption

Jul. 06, 2016

The potential Canada Post service disruption will affect the CBE in different ways. Below is a list of possible effects and temporary solutions. Any further questions can be directed to CBE Communications and Community Engagement.

Parents and Students

Report cards
Most report cards were given to students before the end of the school year. If you provided a self-addressed, stamped envelope, schools tried to mail report cards before the deadline.

Report cards not obtained or mailed out before the deadline can be picked up when schools re-open in August.

School fees
If you have outstanding school fees, you may do the following:
  • Pay online through your My CBE Account.
  • Pay at your child’s school when it reopens in August.
School fees for 2016-17 are due beginning in September 2016.

Refunds
For those families who are expecting fee refund cheques, please note that they will not be produced over the course of a Canada Post service disruption. If you have any questions, please contact Student Fees at 403-817-7888.

Transportation
Transportation registrations will be accepted in-person at the Education Centre (Second Floor, 1221 – 8 Street S.W.), Monday to Thursday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Regular riders can also register online through your My CBE Account.

International Students

Letters of acceptance will be emailed as attachments to applicants. Other original documents needing to be returned to applicants will not be mailed until postal service has resumed.

Vendors

We encourage all of our suppliers to sign up to receive their payments via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). There are several benefits to receiving payment in this way, including avoiding any delays in receipt of payment due to the Canada Post service disruption.
