Unique Pathways & Off-campus Education Dual Credit - Solving Technology Problems

Dual Credit - Solving Technology Problems

Solving Technology Problems (ATG1008) at Olds College teaches students problem solving methods to arrive at “data-driven” solutions. Students will learn how to determine what data should be collected, how to turn big data sets into knowledge with data analysis tools, and how to use that knowledge to communicate and apply solutions. Students will apply the problem-solving cycle to tasks in their everyday lives and to computer programming, including the programming of robotic track vehicles to do certain tasks. Prior coding experience is not required. As students complete the activities and projects delivered throughout this course, they will gain experience using Microsoft Excel and Arduino’s C++ base computer language to program a robot to put into action.
