Move of Louise Dean School
Project Description
On Nov. 29, 2022, the Board of Trustees approved the closure of Louise Dean School effective June 28, 2024 for the purpose of relocation to Jack James High School.
To support this move, modifications will be made to Jack James High School to create the space required for Louise Dean School students. This includes dedicated learning spaces for Louise Dean programming, a new child-minding space to accommodate their children, and office space for partner support.
The estimated cost for this project is approximately $7 million. On April 12, 2023, the provincial government provided $3 million in support of the renovation and transition.
Renovation Status
The construction status is updated using the Construction Projects Status Report that is presented quarterly to the Board of Trustees.

Design consultants have been hired for the provision of design services, preliminary schematic design is complete and work has commenced on the detailed design and tender documents.
